    Pursuit & Participation

    Simon Peter // Part 6
    Acts 10-11

Looking at the story of Peter and Cornelius, we discover that God relationally transforms us to reach the lost. He will call us to embrace those who are not like us in order to change the world through relationships. What Peter’s story here tells us is that God does everything He can to pursue relationship with all different kinds of people (no limits), but that He uses people to accomplish it.

    Give & Go

    Simon Peter // Part 5
    Acts 3:1-11

In this story there's a crippled beggar asking for money from Peter and John. Peter replies to the beggar, "I don't have any money, but what I do have I'll give you. In the name of Jesus, get up and walk." The man thought he needed money, but he really needed physical healing. God will often use who we once were to point to who He is through who we now are.

    Love & Leadership

    Simon Peter // Part 4
    John 21:15-17

Jesus asks Peter if he loved Him three times, using different words for "love" to show a deeper meaning. It's this emotional transformation with Jesus that matures Peter's love for Christ from conditional to unconditional. God wants to transform us emotionally by challenging our depth of love for Jesus as well.

    Lie & Deny

    Simon Peter // Part 3
    Mark 14:27-31; John 18:15-18, 25-27; Acts 2:14-41

You can never live the life you were destined to live if you don't first die to the life you were never created to live. We weren't created to live a life of fear, doubt, and futility. We were created to live a life of pursuit, passion, and risk, even in the face of death, even in the face of life. We must be more passionate about our purpose than we are afraid of our failure.
